What is The Sandman Season 2 About?
The first season captivated fans, who are now eager to see where the story goes next. At the end of the previous season, Dream unmade the rogue nightmare The Corinthian — a creation that had gone rogue — and ended the dangerous Dream Vortex, which had threatened to destabilize both his realm and the entire universe.

Meanwhile, in the depths of Hell, Lucifer and Mazikeen began plotting their revenge after being publicly humiliated in episode four. We also saw Dream come to the aid of his ex-wife and muse Calliope, with whom he shares a complicated history linked to the fate of their son, Orpheus.
The second season picks up the story a few weeks later. After spending over a century away from the Dreaming, Dream is focused on rebuilding his kingdom and restoring what was lost. As he redesigns his palace, he vows to leave the past behind and look toward the future — though the past, of course, has other plans.

What is The Sandman about?
The series is an adaptation of the acclaimed comic book The Sandman, created by Neil Gaiman and published by DC Comics. Developed for Netflix by Allan Heinberg, this production blends modern mythology, dark fantasy, contemporary drama, history, and legend into a unique and immersive narrative.
The story follows the King of Dreams, played by Tom Sturridge, as he embarks on a journey to recover lost magical artifacts and fix the mistakes of his long existence. Each episode explores how his presence affects people and places in both the waking world and the dream realm.
When humans sleep, they enter the domain of Sandman, the lord of dreams, who shapes their deepest illusions and fears. However, when he is captured and imprisoned for a century, his absence unleashes consequences that disrupt both realms. To restore balance, he must journey through multiple realities, confront old enemies, reunite with former allies, and face new forces — both human and cosmic.
